We are back home in New Teft.
We find a scroll to buy for 1500gp. It is Illusionist, cast at level 10, Phantom Steed x2, Rope Trick, Dispel Exhaustion. Zephram already has Rope Trick, so he should be able to copy 2 and cast 2. Dispel Exhaustion is 4th level, so he’ll have to wait to copy it.

Set sail for the Ancients’ City on the Northern Coast.

We arrive at the Ancients’ City and find that the docks are covered with a dome that rises out of the water instead of starting from the top of the standard white wall. The water level inside the dock space is about 2 feet below the choppy seas. At the dock is
There is a clearing with lots of very large dinosaur skeletons to the southeast. There is a small village in the northwest shelter of the domes at the foot of the cliffs.
There are a dozen structures with heavily armed orcs in the village. It appears to be families living around a shrine that looks like a pile of oceanic debris. There are probably 50 to 100 of them.

Party splits up to train and travel to train. Serlisse, Zephram and Shirlard stay in the east. The rest of the party sails west with Loba. Loba resizes some Ancients’ armor. We trade for
Talarian is Exorcised from the Lawful Evil spirit of the Slaughter of Innocents. 01 on the first roll for System Shock. It took 13 rolls on the Exorcism. An 11 and 18 failed, but the 10 made it on the 13th roll. The Heart vanishes. Talarian is restored to a half-Elf, but he takes 3 HP of permanent damage.
He regains 2 CHR, 4 COM points, loses 1 CON (and 2 HP) and his Strength drops to 18/42. He also is completely silent.

We arrive at the Locatha. Farwater is willing to join us. There is a pool in the far end of the city. Going into the dream pool involves fiendish transformations and puzzles. It is different each time. The high priest relates that he became a squirrel with a nut moving puzzle that had a bird that only ate odd numbers of objects.
We paid 5000 gp to go into the pool. Forces of Osperem (barracuda symbol) are in two places. To the east, they still see Blund flickering in and out on the land. The one to the south also keeps sporadically appearing. There has been a noticeable decrease in Druidical power to the east. Loba and Bergen seems to still be hiding and about 60 days ago the Overlord power increased.

Farwater shows up in weird-looking multicolored spiny armor. He assures us that is good camouflage in a coral reef and is his best armor. We loan him Arthur’s Belt of Hill Giant Strength.
We make plans to invade the hobgoblin and giant run mine from a hole in the ceiling of the ocean’s cavern. Through the hole is a room that has rusted and broken machinery for the old trading dumbwaiter. At the end of a short hall is a pair of magical doors.

We approach the foot of the mountains and realize that we need to go across, below or through the mountain. We find out from some salamanders that there is a guy in the caves. The humanoid eats the salamanders, so the salamander does not go through the caves anymore. We use Silence spells to approach him. The man has red hair.

We spot three ogres in armor and insignia. They are muddy and demand food to let us pass. Way off in the mountains is a big army. The giants will make us join the army. They have heard that there is a land of free ogres here.
There is a road over the mountains. The talking rocks guard the road and demanded all their money to let them pass.
They decide to run as the party argues about what to do and we have the blood hawks bring them down in a shower of gruesomeness.
